The name Ursudio comes from two Latin words: Ursa, meaning "bear",
and Tripudio, meaning "to dance".
The constellation, Ursa Major "Great Bear" is also one
of the largest and most recognized constellations in the Northern
sky. It is because of this that Ursa is also generally recognized
as being from the North.
I've always had a fascination with the stars and the heavens, and
I see the North as the direction where dreams and the future are
based. In Alberta, the wind from the North always brings swift change.
The North is also where we can look in the night sky of winter and
see the Northern Lights.
In North American Native tradition, a name of a great warrior of
light is "Dancing Bear".
So it is with these things in mind that my heart is in the name
and in what I do - to dream and to create positive change.
